Respite Care

C.A.R.E.S. of Central PA

Community And Residential Empowerment Services

Respite services- Respite grants temporary relief to caretakers of individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities. Respite is done in households that have been inspected to meet all agency and state required standards. Respite is often thought of as a mini vacation for the VIP and a reprieve for their caretaker to attend to personal needs, medical needs, work demands, or simply take a vacation of their own. Respite may be rendered as a planned or emergency service. Respite is often waiver/county funded or can be billed through private pay.
